Theme: Observations In Panorama

I have always enjoyed capturing the natural beauty of the landscapes and cityscapes that surround me.  I was initially inspired by the New York City skyline, which I viewed numerous times walking along my college campus in Hoboken, NJ.  One day during one such walk, I noted that some of my views, though spectacular, were limited in that I could not enjoy one clear, solid, unobstructed view of the skyline from uptown Manhattan to downtown, from the GW Bridge to the Verrazano Narrows. I thought to myself, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if I could take a photograph of the entire silhouette which would, in essence, meld many different viewpoints into one?” Hence, the use of panoramic photography to achieve this goal.  It is an art form I have vigorously sought to apply to every beautiful vista I have come across.  The collection that I arranged for this particular exhibit is a representation of such work, and will take you to various destinations from my travels around Western and Eastern Europe and the United States.

In the photographs on these walls that surround you, the very pages of my mind are on display, memories of color, contrast, place, and time, beauty in its simplest and most complex form, just as the eye would see it and the mind would remember it.

Perhaps as you browse through the pictures, you will spy a familiar place that you have noted before in your travels.  I invite you to come with me on this journey and re-experience these sights through the panoramic perspective.
